TWO DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ) GRANTS AWARDED TO MARYETTA SCHOOL

Maryetta School in Stilwell, Oklahoma is proud to announce that it was named the recipient of two Department of Justice Grants for school safety.  

The “Bridges” Grant was awarded in the amount of $732, 000 and the “Proactive Preventive Prepared (P3) Community Project” was funded in the amount of $738,000.  

Both multi-year grants will allow for professional development for school staff, teachers and community partners. Also, the grants will ensure safety and mental health staff to be hired, Emergency Medical Responders to be trained within the school, and allow the school to fully train school health and safety officers for trauma or crisis prevention. 

Thank you to all our community partners (Stilwell Police Department, Stilwell Fire Department, Adair County Sheriff Dept., Adair Co Health Dept., Mid-County Volunteer Fire, Cherokee Nation Marshall Service, Cherokee Nation Healthy Nation, Adair Co Boys & Girls Club, KiBois Program, Adair Co Emergency Management, Stilwell ICTC, Stilwell OSU Extension Services and the Oklahoma State Department of Education) for aiding in securing these funds!
